Exceeding Speed Limit by

Enter the buffer value for the speed warning

  • If you enter 15, a vehicle on a road with a speed limit of 50 triggers an alarm from 65 km/h
  • If you enter 50, a vehicle on a road with a speed limit of 50 triggers an alarm from 100 km/h

This feature only works in connection with Openstreetmaps street data. If the road data is not available, this limit will not be used.

The alarm recipients per vehicle are entered with telephone numbers, separately entered with +43 ... The global recipients are entered in the system settings

See Alarms and Events - General Definition

Alert Time Restrictions

Selected alarms can be limited to different time windows. There is no alarm outside the active time window. The time restriction applies to ALL vehicle alarms.

Fixed time restrictions can be configured under options.

The above example explained:

Generate all alerts on every Sunday, the whole day from 00:00 to 24:00

Generate all alerts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, betwen 18:00 to 06:00 (on the next day)

Generate all alerts on Friday, Saturday between 14:00 to 06:00 on the next day

Asset-Configuration Reiter Temperature

The temperature alarms are only displayed if there is data for them. The iButton temperature sensors, which are connected to GPS trackers according to the installation instructions, are automatically recognized and do not require any special settings.

Asset-Configuration Reiter Inputs and Outputs

It is very important to select the right connected inputs & outputs. For each tracking device the right number of available inputs is shown. Please check your tracking box description and installation manuals.

Connecting accessories, sensors, switches or signal inputs to a tracking box means that the signal is connected physically to one of the boxes inputs which must be activated and tested.

There is an available range of standard accessories that might be connected to the tracking boxes. Please request more information from your sales contact. There is a list of System Inputs that enable different functions and reports of your software.

Ignition

Digital

Very important.

The ignition signal is a key indicator for start and stop of trips. It must be physically connected to the selected digital inputs (and the input must be activated and tested).

Ignition signal must be connected to one of the available digital inputs.

1: Active ignition (vehicle is started)

0: Inactive ignition (vehicle is stopped)

Reports and alarms that are based on the ignition signal will NOT work if the ignition is not configured or is configured at the wrong digital input!

Alarm-Button

Simple switch to indicate emergency situations. If the switch is activated, this will trigger alerts (email / SMS).

Simple Button

Private/Business Switch

Digital

Switch to differentiate business from private trips in the logbook.

The configuration is entered in Reiter "Asset-Configuration > Advanced

Beware of inaccuracies

Analoge voltage conntection
Motor (based on voltage) Virtual

Most modern tracking devices transmit the current on-board voltage that comes from steady plus. When the engine is ON, the voltage is usually higher, e.g. 28000 mV and the motor input (based on voltage) can be set to ON and evaluated in a report.

Make sure that the minimum voltage drops below limit after the engine is switched off. If this is not the case, the advanced function for input 1 (ignition) OFF can also be used to set the engine or work to OFF.

Minimum voltage for motor ON must be set correctly for the vehicle

Check the correctness of the signal

If necessary, set input OFF when ignition is OFF

Work (based on voltage)Virtual

Most modern tracking devices transmit the status of a motion sensor. With movement ON the input work can be set to ON and evaluated in a report.

Make sure that the signal goes OFF after the movement has ended. If this is not the case, the input for work can also be set to OFF via the extended function at input 1 (ignition) OFF.

Motion sensor must send valid data (asset-configuration)

Check the correctness of the signal

If necessary, set input OFF when ignition is OFF

Minimum Speed

0 or 1or higher

Standard = 0 ... Logbook entries start with ignition ON (regardless of speed) and end with ignition OFF

1 or higher ... Logbook entries only start if the ignition is ON and if the speed is 1 or higher. This means there are NO stopping times with ignition ON in the logbook. Logbook entries are purely driving times (without stopping times).

Asset-Configuration Reiter Logbook

Functions and fields

Description

Merge short trips logbook (sec)

Trips with very short waiting times in between will be merged in the logbook

Term long trips

Trips over x hours will be terminated, for example, if a vehicle is waiting longer, but couldn’t send a stop.

Idle/Speed/io Splittime in min – longer are splitted

If the last point is an idle time, the idle time will be interrupted if new data is missing for more than x minutes

Stop trips if ignition is ON and speed is 0

If the vehicle is standing longer and doesn’t deactivate the ignition, there will be no stop in the logbook, but 2 positions at once with speed = 0 km/h

Trips from private to private geofence areas are private

If the trip starts in a private geofence area and ends in a private geofence area, the trip is private in the logbook
