How to connect your Connected-it Boat Device
Important Safetey instructions
Before beginning the installation of your product, qualified personnel (skilled in electronic/electrical installation) must read completely this guideline. Important information contained herein is to prevent danger and damages of the used product or vehicle.
The device must be connected only by qualified individuals.
Installation individuals must use right fuses.
We are not liable for any damages or errors that occur due to following this installation manual.
Do not disassemble the device. Do not touch before unplugging the power supply if the device is damaged, the power supply cables are not isolated or the isolation is damaged.
Warning!! May explode, if wrong accumulator is used.
Any installation and/or handling during a lightning storm is prohibited.
All installations have to be completed with a function test with the software if all signals are received.
Mounting Positions for GPS
It is necessary that the label of the device is facing towards sky.
The device can be mounted under the dashboard, but not under metal!
Too many wirings or distoring signals can weaken the GPS reception.
As any electrical device the tracking unit is susceptible to humidity or too much heat.

If you have an older device or different device model, other wiring colours will apply.
Installation test
Use the software to check if all connected inputs show data, switch ignition and bilge pump on and wait for the data to be received in the software.
How to use the Software
Login to Software
First, you need to open login page to our web-based software. The software is running in a browser, on your smartphone or on any PC, so you don’t need to download any app.
This is the Login web-page (for your smartphone or PC):

You will get your USERNAME and PASSWORD from your provider or dealer where you bought the connect-it-boat device.
If you have lost your USERNAME or cannot reset your PASSWORD, please contact our support. Login details will only be granted to customers with a valid service contract.
Enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD as shown below and click LOGIN
The next page will ask you to choose your own password (it must contain special characters). Change password, done! You are in!
Quick-Tip “How to add a website icon to your Home Screen
You can add a website icon to your iPhone Home Screen for quick access.
While viewing the website, tap in the menu bar, scroll down the list of options, then tap
Add to Home Screen.
Home Screen
Upper Left: Home (Burger Menu): you can find the features.
Upper Right: You can find Security settings to change your password or logout.
Live Data View
The Live Data View will show the boat’s name, followed by location and latest timestamp of the location.
You can use the icons below to open the data, current gps position and gps tracks.
General Data
Click on the picture to select your own photo of your boat
Rename your boat
Add an email where you want to receive the alerts
Add a minimum main battery voltage in millivolts. If the main battery voltage falls below this limit, you will receive an email if you activate the alert.
Add a second battery battery voltage in millivolts. If the second battery voltage falls below this limit, you will receive an email if you activate the alert.
Status / Alerts
Location
… shows the current status of your device
Alarms
GPS Movement Protection:
if you activate the alert, the last position is stored. If the device sends a new position that is more than 250m away from the last stored position, it triggers alert and the alert is de-activated. After receiving the alert you must re-activate the GPS Movement Protection again to store a new location that will be used for the next movement.
Ignition ON: triggers alert if input for ignition is turned on.
Bilge Pump ON: triggers alert if input for Bilge pump is turned on
Battery Voltage Low: if voltage was good and then drops under the limit, the alert is turned on.
Secondary Voltage Low: if voltage was good and then drops under the limit, the alert is turned on.
Ignition / Speed / Voltages
Graphs will show the data over time. You can check the status of the voltage for the main battery and the 2nd battery.
GPS Positions and History track
You can use the GPS icon and GPS History icon to show the latest GPS position and the last tracks.
You can change the map style to show satellite map pictures (if available)
And you can use the history to show past data.
