Geofences
The amount of geofences is limited.
Too small geofences, overlaps or changes to geofences after creation are often reasons for errors.
Geofences
Create new geofence
Use "Add" button to create a new geofence.
Use Address Search to find the desired location. Click the polygon symbol and start drawing the geofence. Type in a name for the geofence and save.
Edit geofence
Setting | Details |

Geofence Name | Must be unique |
Relation | Assign geofence either to all vehicles or to single groups/vehicles. |
Group Name | Used to group geofences in reports. |
Hide in Map | Geofence gets hidden on the map. |
Disabled in reporting | Geofence will be excluded from reports. |
Geofence Alarms
Geofence alarms and alarm settings should always be tested during setup of a geofence.
Setting | Details |

Alarm after more than x min in zone | Triggers an alarm if a vehicle stops for x minutes in the geofence. The tracking device has to send a new position. |
Send email | Recipient has to be set. |
Send SMS | SMS is sent to SMS recipients (can be set in Options). Needs to have sim card credit. |
Voice call | Calls SMS recipients (can be set in Options). Needs to have sim card credit. |
Alarm Restrictions
Under Alarm Restrictions you can define time periods in which alarms are triggered. If no periods are set, alarms can always be triggered.
Create geofences on the map
It is possible to create geofences on the map under Vehicles/Trucks → Live Data. Click on the polygon symbol and start drawing the geofence. With the checkbox Geofences you can display already existing geofences.
