Important SettingsDescription
Homecountry listTriggers, if vehicle is outside of specified countries (can be activated in Options)
Device Battery Alarm

Triggers, if battery voltage (in milliVolt) falls below specified value.

Not Sending Limit (min)

This function is used to identify vehicles with problems that haven't send data for a specific time period.

The value specifies the time period (in hours) without new data after which the vehicle will be displayed in orange.

If you set the value to 3, the vehicle symbol will become orange after 3 hours without new data.

If you set the value to 24,  the vehicle symbol will become orange after 24 hours without new data.

If you set "disabled", the vehicle will never become orange.

Fuel Loss Limit in % (only CANBUS)

Triggers an alarm, if CANBUS fuel level drops by more than x %.

Caution! Variations in measurements can cause false alarms!

Optional for CANBUS, if fuel level is transmitted.

Exceeding speed limit by

Buffer value for speed limit warning.

If value is set to 15, a vehicle driving with 65 km/h will trigger an alarm on a street with speed limit 50.

If value is set to 50, a vehicle driving with 100 km/h will trigger an alarm on a street with speed limit 50.

Only works with OpenStreetMaps street data, if no data is available the limit will not work.

Default speed limit (km/h)

Driving faster than this limit will always trigger an alarm.

Alarm Restrictions

Alarms can be restricted to specific time periods. Outside of those time periods, no alarms will be triggered. The restriction is applied to all alarms of the vehicle.

Temp. |°C|

Temperature alarms are only displayed, if related data is coming from the tracking device. iButton temperature sensors that are connected to the tracking device, are automatically recognized and do not need separate settings.

Settings

Explanation

Min. Temperature Sensor X

Alarm is triggered below this value

Max. Temperature Sensor X

Alarm is triggered above this value

E-Mail or SMS

Sets type of alarm

Temp Sensor Limit:

Duration in minutes that temperature needs to be below/above the limit to trigger an alarm.

Input & Output

It is important to connect (or not connect) the correct inputs and outputs. Do not configure inputs and outputs in the software that are not connected to the tracking device.

The installation/connection of accessories, sensors, switches or signals must be done by an expert and needs to be tested. The input/output of the tracking device may be changed before installation/connection.

Input

Input Type

Description

Requirement

Ignition

Digital

Very Important

The ignition signal (ON/OFF) is used to determine stops. The ignition needs to be connected to the correct input and the input must be correctly configured in the software and tested.

1: Ignition ON (Start of the trip)

0: Ignition OFF (End of trip)

Many reports and alarms only work, if ignition is correctly connected.

Alarm push button

Digital

Simple push button for alarm or emergency situations. When the switch is turned on, an alarm is send per e-mail or SMS.

Simple push button

Private mode switch

Digital

Used to switch between private or business trips.

0: Business trip

1: Private trip: Addresses get hidden or deleted in logbook reports (see Options).

Simple toggle switch

New customer push button

Digital

A button press creates a new geofence at the current location.

Simple push button

Fuel tank protection

Digital

Triggers an alarm if the fuel tank gets drained.

Additional component tank protection device

Further input signals

Digital

Are interpreted and displayed as auxiliary drive, if signal is active.

Connect to unused input

Analog fuel level sensor

Analog

Fuel level is displayed between 0.5 to 5.5 volts.

Can be configured under the tab "Advanced".

Connection of analog voltage

Engine (voltage based)Virtual
Most modern tracking devices transmit the current on-board voltage, which comes from the permanent plus. If engine is ON, voltage is most of the times higher, e.g. 28000 mV, and the input engine (voltage based) can be set to ON and evaluated in a report.

Make sure that the minimum voltage is dropping under the threshold value after turning off the engine. If this is not the case, the input for engine or work can be set to OFF via the extended function of input 1 (ignition) OFF.

Minimum voltage for engine ON must be correctly set for the vehicle.

Check correctness of the signal.

If necessary, set input to OFF when ignition is OFF.

Work (movement based)Virtual

Most modern tracking devices use a movement sensor. If movement is detected, input work can be set to ON and evaluated in a report.

Make sure that the signal switches to OFF after movement has stopped. If this is not the case, the input for work can be set to OFF via the extended function of input 1 (ignition) OFF.

Movement sensor must send valid data (Device-configuration)

Check correctness of the signal.

If necessary, set input to OFF when ignition is OFF.

Minimum speed0, 1 or higher

Default = 0 ... Logbook entries start with ignition ON (independent of speed) and stop with ignition OFF.

1 or higher ... Logbook entries only start, if ignition is ON and the speed is at least 1. This prevents logbook entries were the vehicle is still standing with ignition ON. Logbook entries will not contain any stops.

RS232 configuration for winter services or special accessories (e.g. RFID reader via RS232)

Explanation
Requirement

The tracking device needs to be activated for RS232 by the vendor.

The protocol of the vendor must be already implemented and the appropriate long-distance transmission type must be activated on the device.

Choice

Choose the right transmission protocol and save it. The new settings will be transferred to the tracking device the next time the device sends data to the software.

Vendor can use multiple different protocol types. Contact our support to make sure you set the right option.

Logbook

Settings

Explanation

Delete short waiting times [sec]

Short stops between two trips that last longer than the specified value (default value is 60 seconds) will be removed and the trips will be displayed as one single trip. This makes the logbook shorter.

If you set the value to 300 seconds, trips with short stops in-between will be merged together. This cannot be undone afterwards.

Term long trips [h]

Trips that last longer than x hours will be separated (e.g. vehicle has been standing still for a while but the stop didn't get transferred to the software).

Idle/Speed/io Splittime in min - longer are splitted [min]

If the last data sent was a stop with ignition ON and no further data is received for more than x minutes, the next data set interrupts the stop so that there are no too long stops with ignition ON.

Make stop if dist. is shorter than [m] and no ig configured

If ignition is not configured throughout a longer stop und the tracking device is sending minimal distance changes (of a few meters), those distance changes will not be considered in the logbook, if the distance is shorter than x meters.

Trips from private to private geofences are private (private switch has no effect)

If a trip starts in a private geofence and ends in a private geofence, the trip will be marked as a private trip in the logbook.

Trips from private to business geofences are private

If a trip starts in a private geofence and ends in a business geofence, the trip will be marked as a private trip in the logbook.

Trips from business to private geofences are private

If a trip starts in a business geofence and ends in a private geofence, the trip will be marked as a private trip in the logbook.

Trips from business to business geofences are business

If a trip starts in a business geofence and ends in a business geofence, the trip will be marked as a business trip in the logbook.
