Devices with no data (Devices with orange symbol)
If a device hasn't send position data for a longer period, the symbol of the device will change to orange. Most tracking devices are configured to at least send a daily point, even if the vehicle is parked for a longer period. This means that the color orange indicates that there may be a problem with the tracking device of the vehicle.
Reasons for devices with no data:
- GSM (GPRS) signal is not sufficient, (e.g. vehicle is in underground garage or device is in roaming area but SIM card has no roaming)
- Device has no power, connection is faulty or battery is empty
- Device has a problem/error
- Device is not in usage
If a device is not sending as expected or for further questions contact our Support.
Device configuration
In the device configuration it is possible to set the timespan (in minutes) after which the vehicle will be displayed with an orange symbol (default value is 2880 minutes → 48 hours).
E-mail notification
It is possible to activate e-mail notifications that warn/notify about devices with no data. The setting can be found under Options → Options → General.
Not sending report
An alternative to the e-mail notifications is the "not sending report". This report summarizes all vehicles that haven't send any data for the specified time period and are displayed as orange.
